OKAY, another review!!!!!

If you LOVE Donna Downey, as I do, you must have the last two books to complete the It's a Scrapbook Series!!!! I devoured the first two books (decorative journals and creative albums, do not have the photo decor one, yet) and still refer to them regularly. I have read designing layouts and it is so FANTASTIC!!!!! It is truly my type of scrapbooking. Her style is so simple, yet flattering to her photos. Her embellishing never takes center stage. I am so in love with Donna Downey, this book, and Stacy Julian that I am going to renew my subscription to Simple Scrapbooks. My style has changed so much and recently, since I have been scrapping so much, I feel that I am a much more simple scrapper and I am totally okay with that!!!

I have fabric scrapbooking, but haven't read it, yet. I am looking forward to some out of the box projects though and Donna and Ali are definitely taking me there. Run and get this book and I promise that you will not be disappointed!!!!! Have a great weekend!!!!

Home again today...

and we went to the docotr and found out that my baby has an ear infection and pneumonia, walking pneumonia at that. I do not know anything about pneumonia, but the doctor assured me that after a few days on antibiotics she'll be fine. As of tonight her fever has FINALLY broken!!!!! :-) That's the reason we went to the doctor. At any rate, we will be home again tomorrow, so maybe I can finish cleaning. I did some cleaning yesterday and today. I know, I am just dragging this out and have had two days to get it done. I am so bad when it comes to cleaning, but I did complete a LO. YAY me (in the voice of London Tipton). ;-)

I'm Home again!!!!

Well, DD had a fever of 101.7 yesterday and 100.5 early this morning so needless to say, we are home today. We are rotating Motrin and Tylenol and she is feeling better. Any other remedies for fever????

I plan to get some cleaning done and maybe even some scrapping. We'll see!!!!!

I am soooooooooooooo sleepy!!!!

I took off today because dd's class was supposed to go to the zoo. Well, it rained and the field trip will be rescheduled. That was actually a good thing. I was hoping to come home and wash and clean. Didn't happen. I cleaned, but I still need to wash. I was so sleepy. I will spend tomorrow doing that. Was hoping to scrap tonight, but I am soooooooo sleepy. Maybe I should sleep and wake up early in the morning. I can accomplish so much more when I am well rested. Can't you?????

First Soccer Game and a new DISCOVERY!!!!!

I just got home from my son's first soccer game!!!!! OMGOSH we have laughed!!!! It was so funny and they were just too darn cute!!!! He did make two goals. There is no score, though, it's all about having a good time. I still can't post pics, though.

In other news, I have made a new discovery. It's probably old news, but I just completed a LO and wanted yellow stickers. I had white ones in the style I wanted, but no yellow. I have quite a collection of sharpies, so...I just colored the stickers with a yellow sharpie and VIOLA, the perfect shade and I didn't even have to hunt it down. Now I will buy all white stickers and just use sharpies. What a great idea!!!!! I doubt that will happen, though, I am such a letter sticker hoarder. When I find a font I like, I get it in every color they have. LOL!!!!

Three late nights...

The last three nights I have gotten home after 8:00. Tonight I got home after 9:00. I just finished working out, I'm showered and now ready t go to bed. I will try to update tomorrow. No, plans for tomorrow except for the beauty shop...woo hoo!!!!!! I love Wednesdays...sometimes!!!!!

Canon SD750...and the crowd goes wild!!!!!! I have a brand new camera!!!!! I finally went out today and purchased a camera. I knew what I wanted because I have been researching this for months now and I am very pleased with my purchase. The only thing is that it is a very slim camera. I am so used to bulk that I have got to get used this little camera and this huge 3 inch display...love it, love it, love it!!!!! The big screen is just AWESOME!!!! You have no idea of what I have been looking through for the last...almost told ya. I have had my previous camera for...ever and this purchase was way over due, even my dd was so proud that mommy bought a new camera. WWWOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!

What a night!!!!!

Last night a couple of tornadoes ripped through Arkansas. We were totally prepared and even took cover for a brief while, but we are okay. Nothing happened in my immediate area, but a few miles away in the next city there was some damage. There was even some damage in the neighborhood of the school where I teach. The school had no electricity so we didn't have to go today. When taking my daughter to school this morning (she goes to a different school) I saw some houses with yards full of water. The water was about as high as the tires on their cars. The creeks near me are extremely high, but all in all WE ARE SO BLESSED AND THANKFUL!!!!! My heart goes out to those who had damage done to their homes or other property. I will continue to pray for their safety and recovery.

My baby lost her first tooth and a fantastic meal!!!!!!!

It has been loose for a while, but it was so bad that it was leaning. She insisited that my sisiter-in-law pull it which was fine by me because I am very squeamish about stuff like that. I know, I know, but I am so fortunate to have a husband who thrives on those kinds of things. I am just glad that I was able to stand by and get pics and once again, I still can't post. :-(

I absolutely love soup. I am a BIG soup eater. One of my coworkers always makes homemade soup and I decided to give it a try. I have made a couple of pots (all that have been eaten until gone), but the pot that I made today is THE BOMB!!!!!! It was just delicious. I boiled some chicken last week b/c I was too lazy to cook it. I used the broth from that to make the soup and boy oh boy. My husband and daughter love it!!!! It is such a great feeling to cook a meal that your family just talks about constantly (in a positive way)!!!! Oh, and the best part is that it is the easiest thing in the world to make. Just don't forget the cornbread!!!!!
