I had a fabulous Spring Break and I SCRAPPED!!!!

What did I do, you say????? Absolutely nothing. Well, I did some things, but I didn't really go anywhere. Well, I did go to Mississippi to take my sister back to school, but that doesn't really count as a getaway. We dropped her off and came right back. Then the rest of the week was spent doing whatever dd and I wanted to do. However, I did scrap!!!! I completing a whopping 13 LOs. I am so excited!!!!! I haven't scrapped like this in about a year. I have Ali Edwards book to thank for it!!!!! As I scrapped I kept hearing in the back of my head snippets from her book. I'm telling you her new book is a MUST have for any scrapper. Last week I definitely let go of all of those scrapping strongholds that I put on myself and just let myself go with the flow. I feel so liberated!!!!!

Well, it's Friday . . .

and the last weekday of my Spring break, BOO HOO!!!!! We do have the weekend, which should be fun!!!! The bright side is that I have officially decided that I am not going to tutor, teach summer school, or work on anything for the school district this summer. My summer will belong to me!!!! I cannot wait!!!!




On another note, I just got back from my LSS and HL and I am now several bucks lighter!!!! The new Basic Grey is just gorgeous!!!!! I had to have Archaic and Ccupcake. They are perfect for my son and daughter. I am kind of smitten with Sugared, too, but I didn't get to see Boxer. I'll have to take a gander at that next time I'm there. I also bought a few other Knick Knacks including some Zip dry glue (it's supposed to dry completely clear), an opaque white pen, finally, and some new Heidi Swapp. Her new travel line is simply FANTASTIC!!!!! I bought all of the papers, but they are rather pricey. They are double-sided though with some really neat tear offs, can't wait to use them!!!

At HL, I bought the Blush line from Basic Grey that I have been wanting forever!!!! Basic Grey is the only line of paper that I buy in packs. If I like a line, I usually buy the complete set. Their papers are just awesome to me and perfect for doing complete albums!!! Oh, and dd always gets stickers when they are 1/2 off. Well, that's about it for me. I scrapped two pages the other night and now I am planning to do some more.

Either I am a COMPLETE IDIOT ...

or this DARN card reader is a dud!!!!!! I even went to the website to look for some info and couldn't find the actual card reader. There were several on there, but not the one I purchased!!!!! So needless to say, I am taking this CRAP back!!!! I don't have the patience for stuff like this. I just want to plug it in and have something to start. I plugged it in...nothing. I unplugged it and plugged it in again...NOTHING!!!! ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!! Thank goodness my sister and I have essentially the same cameras and she was able to upload the pics and burn them to a CD from her computer.

I will be shopping for a new computer SOOOOOOONNNNN and definitely a new camera. I have procrastinated LONG ENOUGH!!!!!!

Now, I am in my happy place, I am in my happy place!!!!!!

I now have a card reader!!!!!

Thanks to Adrienne, I picked up a card reader yesterday. I got home late last night so I haven't played with it yet. I'm about to take my sister back to school In Mississippi, so I hope to play with it later tonight. :-)

In other news, I was at my mom's house way late last night. My brother was there and one of my sister's was home from school so we decided to grill some burgers at 9:00 last night. We ate, drank, and were very merry. If you haven't tried these out, you need to.


They taste just like tea, no liquor!!!! But you will start to feel it if you drink enough of them!!!! I just love these drinks. My favorite is the Raspberry flavor. Try some today!!!!

Well, didn't find the "Frienzied" Fiskars punch...

But I did manage to find a lot of other great things!!!! Ali Edwards new book Life artist has really imnspired me to think outside of the box, so today at Target I spent some time in the office supply aisle looking for shtuff. I have been wanting a rolodex, but settled on a nice card file for a whopping .98, some address labels for .44, a package of markers for .74, and a Franklin Covey planner that was regular priced 24.99 for $6 bucks. I thought it would be perfect to use as a sketchbook. It has the binder rings in it so it is definitely refillable which is what I wanted. I also found an album that had no back on it and I got excited about the possibilities. It was in the 75% off pile with no sticker. They gave it to me for a quarter. So, now I must create while I am inspired. Sorry I can't take pics!!!!

AND IT IS OFFICIALLY MY SPRING BREAK!!!!!!!! Have a great weekend!!!!

Can u tell that I am giddy!!!! I have to work for about 3 hours tomorrow and then it's a week of not having to go to work!!!

Ali Edwards is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved her 2nd book, A Designer's Eye for Scrapbooking with Patterned Paper, so I ahd to have her most recent book, Life Artist. I bought it last week and just kind of glanced through it. I really started reading it today while I was sitting under the dryer at the beauty shop and boy am I inspired!!!! She is truly amazing!!!!! I have been making little notes in my inspiration notebook of things that I want to try. I mean, I am actually reading this book like a text. I am underlining and everything and I NEVER write in my scrapbook idea BOOKS. Magazines, yes, but not my books. In fact, I am about to get a highlighter tonight as I read and mark up this book. If you haven't purchased this book yet, GO, NOW!!!!! You will not be disappointed!!!!!

On another note...Only two more days until spring break!!! Well, really one and a 1/2, the kids are out Friday and teachers only have to work 1/2 the day. Can you tell I am excited!!!! WOOOHOOO!!!!!

BACK FROM THE WEEKEND!!!!

And what an enjoyable one it was. I rented Bee Movie for us to watch Friday night, well, we tried, but we fell asleep. Saturday morning began with a trip to the spa for a relaxing facial. AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I just love my monthly facials. They are so refreshing and keep my skin feeling and looking amazing, I think. I then had some time to myself to visit Mike's, Hobby Lobby, and Joann's and can you believe the only thing I purchased was four black Sakura pens???? Joann's had them on sale and I had yet to find the perfect pen for journaling, but I think that I am now in love!!!!

I have been using the Zig pens which are great, but I seem to have better control with this new fine tip pen and they were .77. Much cheaper than the Zig pens. Needless to say I bought the last four that they had.

Then on to the grocery store WITHOUT KIDS!!!!!! :-) I was so calm. I only purchased what was on my list, well, maybe a few extras, but there were no kids asking for anything EXTRA!!!! It was pure bliss!!! After that we came home and ate Pizza and tried once agian to watch the Bee Movie...fell asleep again. Do u see a pattern?

Sunday, on to church, then to a 12:00 kickball game. We lost 6-1 and I irritated my quad...again. Back at home by 1:30, it was a quick game, nursed my leg (ice, then icy hot), cooked Turkey burgers, we ate, sat down to watch the Bee Movie, and well what happened????? You guessed it. Woke up a while later and successfully watched the Bee Movie. It's pretty funny!!! I liked it and so did the kids.

From then, I cleaned, did some laundry, and got ready for bed. Couldn't go to sleep because of the mid day nap. Didn't scrap one bit, but am so looking forward to next week...it's our spring break and I hope to be a scrapping machine!!!! As you can see, I didn't figure out how to add pics, but maybe I will this weekend. We'll see...

Life Artist and The Organized and Inspired Scrapbooker in tha house!!!!

I just purchased these two books today!!!!! I have been eyeing them for quite some time. I have had them in my basket at amazon forever, just never purchased. Imagine my surprise when I walked into my lss and saw them sitting on the shelves. I know that they have both been out for a while, but they are new to me!!!! I got so giddy flipping through Ali Edwards book. Of course, it doesn't take much for me when it comes to her. She is just an amazing scrapper!!!! I am hoping that the TOIS will inspire me to clean and really do an overhaul in my scraproom. Once I finish these two I plan to purchase Stacy Julian's new book Photo Freedom. I absolutley loved the Big Picture. Any reviews of her new book??????

CAN YOU SAY TIRED??????

We had a double header yesterday and I am wiped out!!! Now, let me just clarify, not because of the game, but because Dh and I did not go to bed until well after 12:00 last night. We were just up talking and laughing and with the time change, today was truly a struggle. I vowed to go to bed early tonight, but once again I am on this computer typing away when I should be in the bed. I am not even going to work out tonight, I am about to take a long hot bath and get in the bed.

I know this is getting boring looking at my blog without pics, but I hope to try and figure this out sometime this weekend, if not before.

I completed 4 pages!!!!!

I have completed two double page layouts this weekend and I am so excited!!!!! It is Sunday afternoon and I was hoping to finish one more double page spread, but I am getting ready to go to a kickball game. Yes, I am on a kickball team and it is the most fun and great exercise!!!! I should be taking some pics to scrap as we have definitely had some memorable times. Maybe more later.

Good news and bad news

The good news is ...I am so excited!!!!! I scrapped!!!!! Mr. Mojo is here and I was in full gear until about 3:00 this a.m. The bad news is that my brother cleaned my computer and had to delete everything and reload windows. I do not have my camera software CD so I cannot figure out how to get these pics on here without the software. I may try windows later, but for now no pics. I am off to scrap!!!!!

Can you say...SNOW DAY????????????

Oh, my gosh!!!!! I am so excited!!!!! We are having a snow day and I can't believe it!!!! Schools are closed, I went to the grocery store yesterday evening, and we are stuck in this house until it gets better. It should be by tomorrow sometime. We never get snow and to have it in March is just a major surprise. Well, dh is here, too and he is going to make his famous omelets, so I am going to eat and...SCRAP!!!!! Maybe I'll have something to post later.
