Too Much FOOD!!!!

I just looked back at some of my previous posts and I noticed that I have posted quite a bit about food. As you can see Dh and I love to cook and try new things, but I am still watching my waistline, LOL!!!!

UMMMMMMM, PIZZA . . .

and it's homemade!!!! Tonight Dh, dd and I made homemade pizza and it was absolutely delicious!!! It has been along time since Dh and I have made it. In fact, the one time we made it was before we got married and I don't even remember how it tasted. Well, tonight it was great!!! We included the basic ingredients (sauce and cheese) and added sausage, beef, canadian bacon, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, and black olives. We put jalepenos on half (hubby's favorite), and pineapples on the other half (my favorite) as final embellishments. I can't wait to make it again and try chicken as a topping. At least I know what I am taking for lunch tomorrow!!!! Oh, and I forgot to mention how much fun it was. I cannot wait to scrap the pics!!!

It's Been a While . . .

I know it has been almost a week since I updated my blog, but this week has been extremely busy for me. I am trying so hard to stay on top of things at home and at work, which in turn will make me stay on top of my assignments for my classes. My house is clean, smelling good, I have a load of laundry in, one more to do, and I am about to work on a LO. I then hope to start on my presentation that I have Thursday night. We'll see how it goes . . .

I have spent most of today SHOPPING!!!!!! I left this morning at 11:30 and did not get home until 6:30. I got some really great deals and even managed to stop at one of my LSS's and was so happy to see that they had the new American Crafts paper. I also got some of the new Junkitz papers, some SEI, and a few other things.

Well, again I have been at home all day and am beginning to get cabin fever. Dh and I cooked another huge breakfast this morning that consisted of sausage, eggs, rice, and pecan waffles. He made scramblets (sp?) instead of omelets today, but it was just as good. We just bought a George Foreman grill that not only grills, but bakes, has a griddle, and makes waffles, too. We have been dying to try out the waffle maker and did both yesterday and today. We got fancy this morning and added pecans to the waffle batter. MMMMMM, just like the Waffle House. Now, if this ice doesn't let up soon I fear that I will no longer be a size 10 once I do leave the house!!!!! :-)

So what Have I done Today????

Well, I have definitely been at home all day. I have cleaned and watched TV, including QVC, but not much else. I haven't even cracked out a LO. I did manage to clean my closet and do some laundry. Here is a pick of what the weather is like here. This is my back yard, well part of it, from the kitchen door.

Yes, I did go to Hobby Lobby and I returned with quite a stash of candy, that is. No SBing stuff for me. Well, at least not from there. I actually bought enough candy to last me for about three months. It's not all for me, I actually thought about my dh who loves Bit O' Honey and my kids love the cherry sours. Unfortunately the kids' candy will probably end up being thrown out. I will not let them eat it all. On the bright side, this only happens around that "special" time of the month, so even though my hips can't take it, I do indulge at those times. Then I feel guilty later.

Look at what I bought today at my lss. I cannot wait to play. Wait, Baked Beans and new paper. Maybe I'll have a LO to post sometime tonight or tomorrow. . . maybe.

OH, NO, I'm OUT OF BAKED BEANS!!!!!

It is the ultimate scrapping food for me. HL carries a brand that I really like and they close in 30 minutes. They are expecting ice in a couple of hours, but I plan on scrapping!!!! UUUUGGGGGGHHHHHHH, Do I go or do I Stay????????

They are predicting ice for us here this weekend. I would rather do without if it has to be ice, but I will enjoy being at home with my family, stuck. I am praying that we keep power because then it becomes horrible. Maybe I will get some scrapping done!!!! :-)

I Love a Good SALE!!!!!!!!

Sunday when dh and I went shopping, I picked up some fabulous items!!!! I got this "hot" jacket from Wilson's Leather. It was 60% off the red ticket price which was truly a steal. It is a bit too big, but nothing that alterations can't take care of.

The shoes were on clearance at Dillard's for 50% off. If you know anything about Diesel shoes, you know they are very expensive, but comfortable. I guess you can say that I made out like a bandit!!!!!

Guess What I woke up to This Morning . . .

BREAKFAST IN BED!!!!!! Yes, my sweet DH cooked breakfast for me this morning. I was so surprised and it was delicious --sausage, eggs, biscuits, rice, and OJ to top it off. We then spent the day together shopping (and I got some good stuff!!!) and just having a family day, it was wonderful!!!! He is such a keeper!!!!

Well, I changed the look of my blog. I even attempted to add a banner, but as you can see, I was unsuccessful. I'll get it eventually, I still have a lot to learn about this thing called blogging, but for now, I am enjoying this new look!!!

This is what I will probably gain in this next week because I have discovered something so delectable that I cannot help myself. I bought one from a vending machine during my night class on Thursday. It was so good that I remembered to buy some while I was in Wal-mart today. Their Fruit and Nut bars are just as wonderful. I better get on the treadmill now!!!

I think I have found my MOJO!!!!

Can you say, OUCH!!!!!! I got my legs waxed today and boy did it hurt!!!! Not to mention the fact that it has been longer than a month since I had it done, so you can imagine how long the hair on my legs was. Oh, I'm sorry. . .is that TMI?????

Anyway, I am loving me legs now!!!! I also got my eyebrows waxed (as I do every week). Boy, the things we endure to stay beautiful.

I was up until 5:00 this morning scrapping and it felt so good!!! Friday night is my usual scrap time whether I am at home or at a crop, that is my set aside scrap time. I am a midnight, early morning scrapper. I love to scrap when the house is quiet and I am not bothered by sounds of my children tattling on one another or fussing with each other. Well, I haven't done much scrapping at all lately. In fact, I went to a crop last Friday and did absolutely nothing, but talk. I hadn't been with my scrapping buddies in a while so I just wanted to socialize, ya know, catch up. I didn't even want to scrap anything.

Well, I think my slump is over as I completed three LOs for my lss and returned those today. She even gave me three more to do and I am anxious to complete those, too. Gotta strike while the iron is hot.

The first LO "U R My Man" is not my favorite, but I had to use a frame and Tag set by Carolee and I tried to make it work. The second is a LO of my DD when she was 1. The floral part of the LO was inspired by Cynthia (rnjetta) and the rest of the LO was inspired by a LO I found somewhere on the internet, but don't remember the name. SORRY :-(

It came, It came!!!!!

My order from Sizzix finally arrived today!!!! I have never ordered from them, but they had a wonderful sale last week and I decided to place an order. Since I just recently bought a Sizzix machine, I figured that now would be a good time to order some dies seeing as how I had none. I received them today and cannot wait to play this weekend. I planned to scrap tonight, but I stayed up way too late last night, or should I say this morning. I didn't go to sleep until 2:00 this morning because I was trying to complete an assignment for class tonight. Well, as you have probably guessed, I am wiped tonight, so until next time . . .

And Finally a LO!!!!!

It is after 11:00 here and I have just completed a LO. YAY!!!!!! I am going back to work tomorrow and I have class tomorrow evening so I know that it will be a long day. Not to mention the fact that I haven't even completed my homework assignment that is due tomorrow **** GASP****!!!!

Well, Adrienne your LO of your dh and son inspired me to create one of the two special men in my life. Here it is and I'm off to complete my assignment. :-)

At home with a sick child . . .:-(

I'm at home today with my dd who has been running a temperature. I left work to pick her up from school yesterday as she had a temperature of 101.7. We went to the doctor this morning and after testing for strep and flu (they both came back negative), it seems that she has red patches in the back of her mouth causing a sore throat, a viral (sp?) infection. I am so glad that it wasn't strep or the flu, but I just want my baby to feel better. It is such a hurting feeling to see one of your own children sick. Last night as she lay in bed, I thought of all of the times that she has driven me to madness and they just didn't seem to matter anymore. In fact, I would have preferred that she was her old self. It's no fun checking temperature every few hours and givng Tylenol and Motrin all night long. Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep at all last night.

On the bright side, I have had some time to do the laundry and some other things around the house. I am hoping that I get to scrap tonight. Maybe I will get to post a LO!!!!!
